In-mesh

I started with shadow
and spun into light

I took the truth out
of wrong and the hidden
out of right

I met my alter
and there we prayed

We found a congruent
center and there we remain

she stepping right and he
the left, we climb the
helix our entwine makes

turning spiral stairs
out of circled ends

we walk the journey
in our completed reflection

A story of the two of me contributed to today’s Entwin(n)ed Poetics with @dversepoets hosted by Manicddaily. My gratitude for the inspiration and prompt. Please show your support to this wonderful network of creatives, they will surely return in kind.

  1. A subtle helix of rhyme and rhythm underlying the imagery–tightly woven, strong in all respects, yet the light still comes flooding through. Great to read you again, C Rose.

One can’t say it better than that. Great poetic language and wonderful imagery in your poem Rose!
