Orbit

Reaching the apogee
by understanding
the lessoned perigee

Finding the consolation
in withstanding
the patterned oscillation

Opening trine eye
for witnessing
the temerarious collide

Holding orbital verity
of appreciating
the spiraled equanimity

Folded

the first page
folded in my fingers
corner pulled
exposed after the cover

reading your lines
until the end
getting lost in our story
before slumber

your visions linger
in my blanketed dreams
warming my skin
in papier-mâché lovers

the last page
folded in my fingers
corner pulled
to expose the cover

A special note:
Just a year ago this month I started to share my poetry with the world, a long time creative outlet I had always only scribbled in private. Finally compelled to share my words and perspective,  I started The World Poetized. I would have never dreamed only a short year later I would have been graced with the eyes, hearts and minds of so many wonderful visitors to my words. To all those that visit me here and the many that share in the world of micropoetry with me on Twitter, you have my unending gratitude and love. Its with your support that I know my futures journey will always be covered in the words of compassion. All my love ~ Rose

Passing

with each passing
carried souls splash
fingers through the next

crossed through rippled
inertia, experiencing
the came and went

walking the circumstance
of perforated borders
our particles dissect

Inspired by the topic of ‘borders’ that was discussed with all the great poets over at dVerse Poets Pub Poetics hosted by the wonderful Claudia Shoenfeld. I didn’t have a chance to participate but the prompt was still a great inspiration.

Inked

along the tattooed lines
drawn by the expectation
of black ink eyes

ebonized tip needles
covering the moment
in a thick begrime

shaded object of desire
coated in the drippings of mind
lost in my shadowed holler

inked melanoid of time

Wounded Tribe

Living in our tribal knowledge
wilting on the grapevine

Passing generations of story
mutating intelligence through time

Living in our tribal knowledge
wallowing on the grapevine

The absence of today’s truth
splintered in endless divides

Living in our tribal knowledge
wandering on the grapevine

The symbols of divinity
smeared by the hands of mankind

Living in our tribal knowledge
weeping on the grapevine

Changing winds dry our tears
the light of now has a new rhyme

Living in our collective consciousness
weeding out the last of our crimes

This piece inspired by one of the newest teachers in my world, who discussed the downfalls of resting within the history of combined knowledge excluding new information that is present. Lets change the conversation from what was to what is. Thank you for the inspiration my teacher, truly appreciated. ~ Rose
